In 2024, the owner of the well known and established Dairy Dream of Albany retired and sold the business to the Gates family. While the new ownership promised to keep the same recipes and flavors the community has come to love, some updating and excitement was in order. The Gates reached out to Fantom to help update the branding to match their excitement.

Our challenge was to create a brand identity that was new, fun and fresh but kept the same small town shop feel. To do this, I kept a similar word mark to the previous logo, featuring a script along with some unique typography for the word “Dream.” Along with the word mark, the Gates asked to introduce a mascot. The Gates family are huge French Bulldog fans and wanted that to be reflected in some of the branding. Thus, Scoop was born and is now often featured throughout the branding.
